From 6pm on the 2nd August 2020, Stage 4 restrictions apply to all people living within the Melbourne metropolitan area.
Face coverings and masks
All persons over the age of 12 years must wear a protective face covering or mask whilst attending either Berwick or Harkaway Cemeteries.
Funerals and Interment Services
A maximum of 10 people can attend funerals or interment services at either Berwick or Harkaway Cemeteries (excluding funeral directors, celebrants or officiants and our staff). Social distancing protocols must be adhered to. If you reside more than 5km from either Berwick or Harkaway Cemetery you are permitted to attend the funeral.
Those attending a burial must identify themselves to thefuneral director or our staff. For contact tracing purposes you are required to provide your name and contact information in accordance with directives from the Department of Health. The records will be destroyed after 28 days.
Visiting the Cemetery
With exception of attending a funeral, under Stage 4 restrictions, travel beyond a 5km radius from your residence is restricted. This unfortunately may prevent you from visiting your loved ones grave or memorial however, we look forward to welcoming you back when it is safe to do so.
In the event that you are attending the grounds, you may only do so between the hours of 5am–8pm. You should not attend the grounds during curfew hours.
